Post Graduate Sports Internship

The Opportunity

Eastbourne College seeks to appoint recent graduates to provide a range of supporting functions to the provision of sport at Eastbourne College from September 2026 for a one-year fixed term contract extendable to two years by mutual agreement.

The successful candidate will be completing or have completed a sports related degree or possess a high level of expertise in sport whilst completing a different degree and may be interested in PE teaching and or sport science. Candidates will ideally have experience in cricket, netball, rugby, tennis or other core sports. Candidates offering pool lifeguarding would be desirable.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to boarding school life. Single accommodation and meals during term time are available.

Terms and Conditions

Contract: One year fixed-term contract extendable to two years by mutual agreement to commence September 2026.

Hours of work: A minimum of 37.5 hours per week during term time. Flexibility in hours is essential and in order to meet the demands of the post, the person may be required to work to support evening and weekend sports events during term time. Actual working hours will be advised to you by your Line Manager and may be changed from time to time.

Salary: £17,421 per annum.
