Commercial Manager

The Opportunity

Commercial Manager
Required full time from May 2026

St Swithun’s School is seeking an energetic and commercially minded individual to help us grow and shape the future of our thriving Lettings Company.

As an important member of our operations team, you will report to, and work closely with, the Operations Bursar to oversee day-to-day running of the Lettings Company. This is a hands-on, varied role with real scope to make an impact, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, maximising opportunities and turning ideas into successful outcomes.

Our Lettings Company exists to support the charitable ethos and aims of St Swithun’s by making the best possible use of our facilities outside of school hours. You will be at the heart of that mission.

What the role is all about:

  • Driving and developing a profitable year-round commercial lettings business;
  • Building new business partnerships while nurturing the relationships we already have;
  • Maximising revenue through creative and effective marketing, pricing, planning, and delivery;
  • Ensuring every external client, from community groups to commercial organisations, has a first-class experience.

If you are motivated and commercially savvy, with a passion for creating great customer experiences, we would love to hear from you.

The post holder will work all year round – school holiday periods tend to be particularly busy. You will receive 30 days of paid holiday in addition to bank holidays. Usual working hours will be 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday (with half an hour unpaid break); some work outside of these hours, including evenings and weekends is to be expected.

The salary for this role will be competitive and may include a target-linked performance bonus.

St Swithun’s is a popular and successful selective girls’ school committed to developing innovative teaching and learning and open communication with parents. We are a kind, understanding and supportive community in which every pupil feels able to try new challenges without fear of failure.
