Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working a shift pattern of 7:30am to 4:30pm, and 8:30am to 5:30pm. Attendance at INSET and Open Mornings is required, along with occasional flexibility outside of core working hours to support key school events.

St George’s Weybridge is a leading independent co-educational Catholic day school in Surrey for pupils aged 2-18. We are seeking a welcoming and highly organised Junior School Secretary to join our office team, acting as first point of contact for all visitors to the school. This is an essential role in promoting our brand, ethos and values, providing professional administrative support and contributing to the efficient running of the Junior School.
The Junior School Secretary is responsible for ensuring the registration process has been fully completed, handling a variety of queries from parents, staff, and visitors, assisting with the administration of school trips, events, and correspondence.
The successful candidate will have proven administration experience working in a customer facing role, possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The Junior School Secretary will be able to prioritise tasks effectively, and be flexible in their approach to ensure all queries are handled in a timely fashion. Confidence in using IT including Microsoft Office and other systems is essential, experience with SIMS, My School Portal or similar software is advantageous, although full training will be provided.
The Junior School Secretary is required to hold a First Aid qualification for which training will be provided. Experience of working in a school or educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
