Junior School Office Manager

The Opportunity

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working a shift pattern of 7:30am to 4:30pm, and 8:30am to 5:30pm. Attendance at INSET and Open Mornings is required, along with occasional flexibility outside of core working hours to support key school events.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks per year

St George’s Weybridge is a leading independent co-educational Catholic day school in Surrey for pupils aged 2-18. We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and professional Office Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our busy Junior School office. This is a key role at the heart of our school community, providing essential administrative, operational, and compliance support to ensure the smooth running of the Junior School.

You will act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors, maintaining a welcoming and efficient front office, whilst managing administrative systems and processes. The Junior School Office Manager will be responsible for the line management and professional development of the Junior School Secretary and the Reprographics Technician.

The successful candidate will be highly organised with proven Senior Administrator or Office Manager experience, possessing excellent customer service skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Confidence in using IT including Microsoft Office and other systems is essential, experience with SIMS, My School Portal or similar software is advantageous, although full training will be provided. The Junior School Office Manager will be able to work independently off their own initiative, as well as part of the wider school office team, maintaining a professional and flexible approach at all times.

The Junior School Office Manager is required to hold a First Aid qualification for which training will be provided. Experience of working in a school or educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
