PA to the Director of Sport

The Opportunity

Millfield School is seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional individual to join our Sport department as PA to the Director of Sport.

This is a key role providing comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Director of Sport, ensuring the effective coordination of daily activities and strategic priorities within one of the UK’s leading school sports programmes.

The Role

You will play an integral part in supporting the Director of Sport, providing high-quality administrative support and helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their office. This will include:

  • Managing a busy and varied diary, coordinating meetings and appointments
  • Preparing reports, presentations, correspondence and briefing materials
  • Acting as a central point of contact, managing communications and liaising with key stakeholders
  • Attending meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Supporting planning processes and ensuring deadlines are monitored and met
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information with discretion

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a comparable PA or administrative role
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
  • Proactive, professional and able to prioritise effectively
  • Calm and efficient under pressure
  • Discreet and able to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

A genuine interest in sport and education would be advantageous.

Working hours and salary

  • 22 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Term time plus 4 weeks
  • Salary: £15.39 per hour, equating to approximately £14,216.62 per annum (inclusive of holiday pay). The final salary may vary slightly depending on how the 22 hours are distributed across the week.
