The Position
Twickenham Prep School is actively seeking to appoint a Head of Finance and Operations to join the Senior Leadership Team and play a key strategic role in the continued development and success of this outstanding school.
The Head of Finance & Operations will have responsibility for the non-teaching aspects of the School, including financial and legal oversight, alongside the day-to-day operations of the site and premises. Reporting directly to the Head on matters relating to the physical estate and non-teaching functions, the postholder will work in close partnership with the Head to support the implementation of the School’s strategic aims and educational vision.
The role will lead the School's finance, estates, facilities, health and safety, compliance, commercial activities, administration and major capital projects ensuring the School operates efficiently, safely and sustainably. The postholder will also serve as Clerk to the Governing Body, providing governance advice and effective support to Governors. Line management responsibility will include Marketing, HR, Premises and Catering requiring strong leadership, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
We are seeking an experienced operational leader with strong financial acumen, commercial awareness and strategic thinking, alongside excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be comfortable providing trusted advice to the Head and Governors, while taking a practical and proactive approach to the effective running of the School. They will be a visible member of the School community, committed to education and to identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen systems and enhance the School’s operations.
