Durham High School is a leading independent day school for girls aged 3-18. The School is consistently the best for academic results in County Durham. The School has a strong framework of pastoral care and an extensive co-curricular provision. The School occupies a large and attractive campus of around 15 acres, just two miles from the centre of Durham.
The School is seeking to appoint a strategic thinker who is financially astute, analytical and commercially minded to become the new Director of Finance and Operations. The successful candidate will be a visible and agile leader with outstanding people skills.
On 4th November 2024 the governors announced the School would be joining the Ruthin Education Group. The Group is committed to expanding its presence in the UK education sector. The new Director of Finance and Operations will play a key role in integrating the School into the Group, including setting up management structures and reporting processes, managing capital expenditure programmes and strategic planning. This represents a unique opportunity to not just make a major contribution to the School and its future, but also to be part of a dynamic group of schools.
