PAYROLL MANAGER

Finance Department, Benenden School

Required: As soon as Possible

Full Time, All Year Round (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: Highly Competitive

Reporting to the Finance Bursar, the Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll function within the School. 

Main duties entail managing all aspects of the payroll function, including pensions reporting.  Previous payroll experience is essential.  Experience in a school role and knowledge of iTrent would be advantageous but is not essential. In addition, the successful candidate would manage relevant payroll communications in line with School policy.

The successful candidate will have strong excel skills, excellent management skills and an expert working knowledge of payroll software packages. Applicants should be hard working, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities; be able to assist other roles within the team and step in to provide cover during absence or assist during busy periods.

Benenden is one of the leading day and boarding schools in the country.  Founded in 1923, Benenden School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent, the Garden of England. There are 550 girls in the School, aged 11-18.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool, are available for staff to use.
